Extraordianry Functionality Like Never Before Seen - Kyocera FS-3800D Cartridge
While printer technology has advanced significantly over the past 10 plus years, none have seen the innovative technology of the Kyocera FS-3800D Printer. FS-3800D was a printer of very high quality and was engineered to be "eco-friendly." Despite being retired, this printer is enough of a cost effective workhorse to still be a contender in the business printing market. The Kyocera FS-3800D Printer Toner Cartridge produces remarkable clarity on every printed page.
A black and white laser printer, the FS-3800D is a networkable printer that uses resources efficiently. Its operational costs are low, as well as its impact on the environment. The drum's cycle is 300,000 prints. Its 16 MB of RAM is facilitated by the Power PC 740 processor (200 MHz). Imaging is enhanced in the resolution that starts at 1,200 dpi x 1,200 dpi and ends with 2,400 dpi x 600 dpi. Owners have described the images printed by the FS-3800D as having lush coloring, brusque edges, and keenly meticulous halftones.
At 25 pages per minute (ppm), the FS-3800D is considered to be a very fast printer. When gearing up to print, the selected file is stored in its entirety in the RAM so that the document can be printed at top speed. The printer will shut itself off when not in use, making it Energy Star compliant. It can be used with computers that are using Windows 2000, XP, and Vista; and computers using Mac software, UNIX, and Sun Systems. This printer was lauded as being the best solution for the typical business printing needs.
Kyocera, the manufacturer of this printer, is a global Japanese company offering a variety of products. It describes itself as "the world's leading developer and manufacturer of advanced ceramics and associated products, including telecommunications equipment, semiconductor packages, and electronic components". Originally the Kyoto Ceramic Company, it grew and changed its name to Kyocera in 1982. Its subsidiary, Kyocera Mita, is the actual manufacturer of printers.
Kyocera Mita's current line of printers are an outgrowth of the FS-3800D's technology. The FS-1100 and the FS-1300D both have a print speed of 30 pages per minute and their drum cycles are 20,000 and 25,000 per month, respectively.
The FS-1350 has a 32 ppm (page per minute) speed with a duty cycle of 30,000 while the FS-2020D has a speed of 37 ppm and a 150,000 per month duty cycle. The FS-9130DN steps up the page per minute speed to 40 with a duty cycle of 200,000. FS-3920DN and FS-4020DN have speeds of 42 and 47 ppm, respectively (the duty cycle ranges between 200,000 and 250,000) while the powerhouse is the FS-9530DN, which has a ppm of 51 and a 300,000 per month duty cycle.
The printers produced by Kyocera Mita all use Ecosys technology. Ecosys aims to impact the environment minimally be creating longer life consumables and reducing the owner's cost-per-print. Ultimately, Ecosys technology has separated the drum from the toner cartridge. Typical printers have the two combined and when the printer runs out of Kyocera FS-3800D Toner, the perfectly fine drum gets replaced with the toner. The Kyocera printers do not needlessly replace this drum, thus lowering the cost of ownership.
Obtaining new Kyocera FS-3800D Bulk Tonercontinues this economy. Kyocera toner produces pages of perfect prints, with no re-do’s required. Online vendors offer toner at a great price, with fast shipping. This printer remains a workhorse mainstay that will continue to perform for many years.
22 Ways to Reuse Paper (wisebread)
Do you feel guilty tossing stacks of flyers, scrap paper, and junk mail into
the recycling bin? All that perfectly good paper, hardly even used. What a
waste! Recycling is good, but it still takes energy and creates waste and
emissions. The good thing is, there are plenty of things you can do to reuse
paper before recycling it. (See also: 17 Ways to Use Old Newspaper)
## 1. Printing
Yes, it's obvious, but it surprises me how many people don't bother with
printing on the back of scrap computer paper. Use scrap paper to print
coupons, directions, meeting minutes, shopping lists, and other necessities.
To make it easier, keep a tray of scrap paper next to the printer for easy
access.
## 2. Pet Cage Liner
Newspaper and junk mail is perfect for lining a bird cage or shredding for
hamster bedding. Just be sure that the paper you use is printed with non-toxic
ink (brown paper bags and black and white newspaper is usually fine).
## 3. Woven Basket
Design*Sponge recently showcased an easy tutorial for reusing your brown
packing paper (ubiquitous in Amazon shipments, for example) to weave this
beautiful recycled paper basket. Use the ...
