Fake Prescription Gets Anna Malova, Former Miss Russia, Arrested

Anna Malova arrest spurred by drug charges
Three months ago, Anna Malova was arrested for drug charges that are suspiciously similar to the charges she has been arrested for now. Anna Malova’s doctor claimed that she had stolen his prescription pad. She then supposedly used this prescription pad to write herself a prescription for narcotic painkillers. The charges leveled against Anna Malova include forgery, criminal possession of narcotics, and impersonating a physician.
Physician’s license for Anna Malova not valid in the U.S.
The story of Anna Malova’s arrest gets even more intriguing – because she is, in fact, a doctor. The United States has not recognized Anna Malova’s Russian medical license. While she was Miss Russia, Anna Malova donated a personal cash loan as well as time and effort to serving medical clinics in the Russian continent. A United States pharmacy cannot fill prescriptions written by Anna Malova, because she is not licensed to practice medicine in the United States. Even if Malova was licensed in the U.S.A, she would have to get another doctor to write her prescriptions, because self-prescribing is not allowed.
Punishments for Anna Malova's crime
If Anna Malova is judged guilty for her alleged crimes, the fines and punishment for her crimes could be significant. Criminal possession of narcotics could cost as much as two thousand dollars and several years in jail. Impersonation of a physician is a Class E felony and could lead to three or more years in jail. The forgery charge could cost her anywhere from $ 100 to $ 5,000. The alleged transgressions of Anna Malova could very well end up costing her several thousands of dollars. If Anna Malova isn’t worried about the money, she could very well be worried about deportation. Drug crimes can often be grounds for deportation.
Protecting Their Own: Fareed Zakaria Softens Up Private Equity's Bad Rep (crooksandliars)
The whole field of private equity has taken a hit in the reputation
department, thanks to the Republican ads against Mitt Romney. Honestly, if you
had told me in 2008 that I would ever type that sentence, I would have said
you were crazy, but here we are. I doubt very much if most Americans had
really thought very much about the field, until Super PAC ads started showing
up in their states, blaming the loss of jobs to greedy vulture capitalists
like Mitt Romney during his tenure with Bain Capital.
However, it's key that the one percent protect their own, so Fareed Zakaria--
with his multiple degrees from Yale and Harvard, sitting board member of Yale
University, the Trilateral Commission the New America Foundation and the
Council of Foreign Relations--gives the fluffiest of softball interviews to
David Rubenstein of The Carlyle Group.
Rubenstein assures us that private equity is really not so bad, honest. They
don't cut jobs...that would cut down on productivity and therefore profit,
right? Well, not always:
> Do private-equity firms create jobs, destroy jobs or neither?
>
> The best empirical evidence says the answer is that private equity both
creates and eliminates ...
