Review Of The MINI Clubman 4x4

BMW have released their Mini 4x4 after months of debate amongst  Mini fans debating on whether they could still retain the classic look on a bigger motor. Is it going to be a longlasting success or a flash in the pan novelty car?

Initially, I was sceptical about the plans. If something aint broke - why fix it? Wasn't the modern Mini enough? My concern was not so much whether the Mini faithful would embrace the basic idea of a beefed up version of their motoring icon, rather I was unsure as to whether it would win over a new army of fans in the family car market. Of course with these things, you have to make your mind up with a test drive - so what did I make of it? OK…I came away pretty pleased. It’s definitely a still a Mini that you're driving. The much loved features are intact - the instrument panel, centre console and overall design still retains its modern, fresh, funky look. mini car leasing Obviously, it's bigger inside - and the rear seats slide as standard. mini cooper lease And we get on to the 4x4  engine. Mini have branded it ALL4 and while not being as fun as its three-door cousin, it grips the tarmac nicely. mini cooper lease But to be honest, most 4x4s are bought for their looks more than our desire to go off-road - city dwellers particularly wouldn't really like expensive machines to suffer the rough and tumble of going off terrain…but driving the MINI 4x4 gives visibility and comfort on the road that makes a big difference as a driver and passenger.

So, if push came to shove, would I ever buy one myself? It's a toughie - the car has loads of features that I love and new ones that I was honestly impressed by. However, if I was to buy a 4x4 - it might not be on the top of my list - there are more established motors that I'd be more drawn to initially. On the other hand, as a family run about it definitely gets my vote.
